Frank C.

Frank began at Whitefield in 1st grade and participated in basketball, soccer, golf, volleyball, debate, yearbook, Shakespeare, spirit club, worship team, and many art classes.

"Whitefield teachers have greatly influenced growth in my personal and spiritual life. Their insight on both education and the challenges that high school students face has been valuable and meaningful. 

A few of my favorite classes have been Logic, Greek, Art History, and all of my Bible classes. They have helped me grow into who I am now."

He plans to attend Kansas State University to study finance.

Amelia C.

Amelia began at Whitefield in Kindergarten and participated in volleyball, Shakespeare, and art.

"I love that Whitefield is comfortably tight-knit. I like the atmosphere of knowing everyone and having everyone know me. I love the opportunities Whitefield has to let its students interact and bond with each other in a way that most schools do not.

My favorite class in upper school has been Greek. I loved having the opportunity to learn a new language from square one and go on to translate difficult texts. It has been a very edifying experience engaging in the New Testament written in its original language."

She plans to attend Emporia State University.

Ethan D.

Ethan began at Whitefield in 9th grade and participated in rowing and NHS.

"Whitefield is a quirky but very fun and welcoming community. 

I appreciate all the math and science classes, especially Calculus, Physics, and Biology. I have grown in my math and science skills and even though they are difficult, I still enjoy it.  

In the small things like helping with homework or in big things like checking on me emotionally, every teacher at Whitefield has had an impact. I don't think I would be the person I am today without all my teachers."

He plans to begin working next year.

Theodore G.

Theodore began at Whitefield in 9th grade and participated in Shakespeare, choir, and rowing.

"I appreciate the wholesome community and how personal all the teachers and students are here.

I really admire the way Mr. Stewart teaches, and I love jumping into discussions with him about anything, whether it be our tastes in music and film, or the variety of deep moral and historical topics we cover in his class." 

He plans to attend Wheaton College.

Martha G.

Martha began at Whitefield in Kindergarten and participated in volleyball, basketball, soccer, yearbook, Shakespeare, choir, art, spirit club, and volunteered with the book fair and uniform closet.

"My favorite thing about Whitefield is how close knit the students and teachers are. We can come to just about anyone with scholastic and even deeply personal questions. 

I loved music history and choir classes, I have always loved music and Whitefield has only increased that love, leaning core history moments in music was so intriguing and performing beautiful choral pieces I wouldn't have known otherwise"

She plans to attend Hillsdale College.

Senior Thesis Presentation: Monday May 6th between 1:50 -3:30pm, Should LGTBQ+ curriculum be incorporated into elementary classrooms?

Elise H.

Elise began at Whitefield in 7th grade and participated in volleyball, soccer, and NHS.

"I love that we have the opportunity to go on service and cultural trips as a class.

In art history, Mr. Appling taught me how to see art in a whole new light along with meaningful class discussions. In calculus, Mrs. Swanson taught me to have a love for math and showed me how much she cares for her students. In American History, Mr. Stewart lead life-shaping class discussions. I also enjoy translating and discussing the Lord's Prayer in Spanish with Mrs. Evans."

She plans to attend Kansas State University.

Senior Thesis Presentation: Friday May 3rd between 1:50 -3:30pm, Is it beneficial to implement foreign language classes in primary school?

Joshua L.

Joshua began at Whitefield in Kindergarten and participated in basketball, soccer, rowing, debate, and science olympiad.

"I love how the Whitefield student body functions like family. Art History, and Humanities V made the biggest impact on me. Art History, because it further reinforced the necessity of truth, goodness, and beauty, instead of only truth. Humanities V, because it began my search for why I believe what I believe."

He plans to attend Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Jed R.

Jed began at Whitefield in 6th grade and participated in soccer and Shakespeare.

"The people are different from any other community, in a good way.

Logic class has definitely given me a new lens to look at life through. Mr. Appling showed me how incredible art is."

He plans to attend Faith Baptist Bible College in Iowa.

Henry S.

Henry began at Whitefield in 9th grade and participated in debate, crew, Shakespeare, co-founder of short stories club, morning Psalms, and weightlifting.

"I appreciate the commitment of both the students and teachers to pursue and enjoy what is truly good. I really enjoyed our Freshman logic course.  I had never had a class quite like it, and was challenged to think about arguments and propositions in an entirely different way."

He plans to attend Patrick Henry College.

Senior Thesis Presentation: Friday April 19th between 1:50 -3:30pm, Should COVID vaccines be delayed in their administration to the general public?

Robert S.

Robert began at Whitefield in Kindergarten and participated in soccer, yearbook, debate, Shakespeare, choir, short stories, StuCo, and NHS.

"I really enjoy the community we have here, and how you can be close friends with people older and younger than you, it doesn't just have to be people in your grade. 

I've always loved math, but Geometry was perhaps the most influential math class for me. It started getting harder and I found that I loved to solve hard problems. Humanities classes furthered my love for reading, and reading the Illiad and the Odyssey showed me that reading ancient literature could be enjoyable, and not stale." 

He plans to attend the University of Chicago.

Senior Thesis Presentation: Friday April 19th between 1:50 -3:30pm, Should the U.S. adopt a uniform internet privacy law?

Aliyah T.

Aliyah began at Whitefield in 4th grade and participated in rowing, science olympiad, Shakespeare, worship team, choir, short stories, and art.

"My experience at Whitefield has shown me what true friends look like, how to work hard but also balance it with fun. The teachers support us while being our friends as well. They emulate the kind of leader and mentor I hope to become one day.

What speaks that to me the loudest is how ready Whitefield has made me feel for my next steps. I am sad to leave the people, and I will truly miss everyone SO much! But the school has molded me in so many ways that I also feel confident stepping out."

She plans to attend Creighton University.

Stephen V.

Stephen began at Whitefield in Kindergarten and participated in debate.

"The best part of Whitefield is the community. It's the people that make Whitefield what it is.

Spanish class with Mrs. Evans impacted me in ways I'll value for a lifetime and Mrs. Martin in lower school music is always there to listen and tell fun stories.  I loved doing art and having Senior coffees with Mr. Appling."

He plans to begin working for a construction company with the ambition to become a heavy equipment operator.

Zachary W.

Zachary began at Whitefield in Kindergarten and participated in golf, basketball, volleyball, debate, and soccer.

"I love the Whitefield faculty and the community of men, and a favorite memory is winning the varsity debate championship.

I appreciate the things I learned in logic class that have had practical value and the many other classes that helped me grow in my faith while in middle school."

He plans to attend Kansas State University.

Caroline began at Whitefield in 5th grade and participated in volleyball, soccer, basketball, student council, yearbook editor, spirit club, short stories, Shakespeare, NHS, Greek student aid, and Psalm reading.

"Whitefield teachers are absolutely phenomenal- TRULY!

Greek has definitely been the most impactful class during my time at Whitefield. Getting to translate the Bible creates a new level of depth in the classroom and has allowed me to see Scripture in a new way. And even better, it has led to some of the most meaningful conversations during my WA years. It has taught me the beauty of genuine conversation, and the joy of finding education both fruitful and fun!"

She plans to attend Belmont University.

Senior Thesis Presentation: Friday May 3rd between 1:50 -3:30pm, Is Christian presuppositionalism the most effective form of evangelism in our current culture?

Ellie Z.

Ellie began began at Whitefield in 8th grade and participated in soccer, aftercare volunteer, Shakespeare, debate, every art class available, NHS, morning psalm reading, and short stories club.

"Whitefield just makes me laugh. Be it dying fabric in a kitchen trash can for Shakespeare, having a high tea in class, decorating cakes like the layers of Dante's Inferno, or any of the other peculiarities that have made my time at Whitefield so enjoyable!

I have really appreciated the art program at Whitefield. It has let me experience so many different mediums, expand my skill in familiar disciplines, and try my hand at many new techniques like block printing, etching, and wire sculpture."

She plans to attend Wyoming Catholic College..
