As you plan for the year, please keep the following additional costs in mind:

We use FACTS, a third-party agency, to determine tuition assistance eligibility through a confidential and impartial process. Many factors are considered — including income, assets, unusual expenses, and the size of your family.

For Kindergarten - 12th Grade, assistance of up to 50% of the cost to attend may be granted based on the FACTS award calculation. Kinder Prep students are not eligible for tuition assistance.

Steps to Apply for Tuition Assistance:

1. Schedule a school tour

2. Apply for school admission & submit application fee

3. Gather needed documents

• Copies of prior year tax forms including all supporting tax schedules.
• Copies of prior year W-2 forms for applicant and co-applicant.
• Copies of supporting documentation for additional income.

4. Complete the online FACTS Grant & Aid application. Families are notified of their tuition assistance award via email, and the tuition agreement is adjusted accordingly.

Whitefield is committed to making classical Christian education available in Kansas City for generations to come. Please keep in mind that applying for financial assistance does not guarantee that you will be eligible for assistance, and being eligible does not guarantee that financial assistance will be available.

Payment Options 

Tuition payments may be made annually, semi-annually, or monthly through FACTS. Many families find breaking tuition down into monthly payments beneficial.  Monthly payments run 11 months May-March, with the annual administration fee due in April.

Selby Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship fund honors Mr. Jim Selby, beloved classical Christian visionary and teacher, who served Whitefield Academy for over twenty years. This scholarship is need based with priority given to minority students.

ACE Scholarship

Alliance for Choice Education scholarships are based solely on family income so students living in either Missouri or Kansas may apply. New students receive priority but all families who meet the income requirements are strongly encouraged to apply.

You may apply for Whitefield Academy financial aid and an ACE Scholarship with one application. Simply check both organizations while applying.

MOScholars (through Herzog Tomorrow Foundation)

In 2021, Missouri established the Missouri Empowerment Scholarship Accounts Program. 

Applicants must be resident of Missouri:

• whose household income qualifies them AND
• has attended a public school for at least a semester during the previous year OR is entering K or 1st Grade

Will tuition change over time? In alignment with Independent School Management best practices and with other area schools, the Whitefield Board of Trustees determines tuition annually based on a variety of factors including enrollment levels and inflation. Generally families can expect an increase of 2-7% with notification given in January for the following school year.  Our Board of Trustees works diligently to ensure the school is financially sound while continuing to make a Whitefield education accessible to Kansas City families.

If I receive tuition assistance this year, will I receive the same assistance next year? Tuition assistance awards are made for one year. Families receiving assistance are asked to submit an application annually to determine need-based qualification.

Are students required to fundraise? There are no fundraising requirements at Whitefield. Those that wish to contribute to the Whitefield Fund may do so according to their ability.
