About
For nearly 30 years, Whitefield has been Kansas City's leading classical Christian school.
Whitefield Academy is a Christ-centered community of classical learning. We are located near the state line, drawing 230 students from across the metro area. As an independent, 5 day, in-person, non-denominational Christian school we are accredited by The Association of Classical Christian Schools. Our aim is to graduate students who are Christ-honoring critical thinkers, clear communicators, and compassionate leaders. We invite you to explore our website and then schedule a campus visit to learn more!
Why Whitefield Academy?
The educational environment your child experiences during their school-aged years can have a profound an impact on who they are when they step out into college and adulthood.
We believe the end of all learning is to know, love, and imitate God.
Our classical curriculum teaches students how to think rather than what to think.
Students can be themselves and develop supportive friendships for life.
We believe that who they become and how they interact with others is just as important as what they know.
Students enjoy historical and school traditions that unify our community through shared experience.
Our teachers get to know each student as an individual, developing their whole person.
Students have multiple recess periods, play in the snow, go on walks, and enjoy learning outside.
KPrep - 6th learns screen free while 7th-12th learns essential technology skills - but mostly, we read books!
Students discover new interests with sculpture, theater, choral music, rowing, debate and more.
Why Christian Private School?
Parents choose private education for many reasons. Some value the close-knit community or the individual attention of smaller classes. Some value the academic rigor or the partnership with teachers who are subject matter experts. Others appreciate that the faith and values taught at home are reinforced in the classroom, or that their children develop positive peer relationships with supportive classmates.
